  • When the time came to replace our ERP system, we had a difficult decision to make. The incoming system was not supported on our favored platform, System z. We decided to convince the software vendor that the platform was a good fit and support for the platform could be offered.

Now almost 2 years after our very successful implementation, System z is a supported platform for our ERP, Ellucian Banner. The process of getting to this point involved some extremely interesting tuning and testing of the virtual environment, Linux and the application. Teaming up with IBM, Oracle and Mainline we dove deep and came out with some pretty interesting and broadly applicable results.
