  • Session 17822: MQ Parallel Sysplex Exploitation, Getting the Best Availability from MQ on z/OS by Using Shared Queues (437.0 kB)
  • MQ offers a number of features for building highly available infrastructures that take advantage of a z/OS parallel sysplex.  In this presentation we take a look at Shared Queues on z/OS, including Shared Message Datasets (SMDS) and Coupling Facility (CF) Loss of Connectivity resilience. The performance gains and CF storage use provided by SMDS and the new off-load rules are discussed in detail.
