Biographical Sketch: Paul has been working at IBM Hursley in a variety of roles since 1990. He was a part of the very first MQ for z/OS Development team working on the V1 offering and he continued worked on the product for 12 years. In that time he worked in the low level "plumbing areas" of the product worrying about data and data recovery. Paul became the team leader and architect for the initial Shared Queue support which was delivered in MQ 5.3. On leaving MQ Paul had other roles in the Hursley lab working in Emerging Technology Services concentrating on Mobile Solutions before becoming a Manager and taking the role of CICS Strategy Manager, a role he held for 6+ years. An opportunity arose to leave CICS and return to MQ, the role being that of MQ Portfolio Development Manager owning development for MQ on z/OS and Distributed plus Advanced Message Security and File Transfer. Paul held this role for 4+ year delivering MQ V7.1 , V7.5 and V8. In early 2015 Paul became PLM for Messaging concentrating on z/OS and Linux on z.
