  • z/OS UNIX System Services was first introduced as OpenEdition on MVS 5.2.  It specified a minimum set of services and interfaces, including those for security, which must be implemented to consider a system as UNIX.  There are additional features that have been added beyond those required.   We'll take a peek into the security aspects of UNIX and how it integrates with the traditional RACF model.
