Queue manager clusters can ease the life of any MQ administrator by reducing the laborious task of defining connections between queue managers and making it simpler to add a new queue manager into an existing MQ network. A cluster is an easily administered, highly available, scalable collection of queue managers and IBM MQ applications can take advantage of clustering with the minimum of effort.
This session will cover both the externals and internals of MQ Clustering, including, but not limited to: The key points to consider when designing and implementing a cluster of queue managers (cluster sizes, full repository topologies, etc); Cluster resource definitions; Workload Balancing through the Split Cluster Transmit Queue; Routed Publish-Subscribe in Clusters; and finally problem determination A basic understanding of the concepts of queue manager clusters is required.
