CICS Performance and Tuning 101

Today, more and more customers are concerned about the cost of running applications in CICS on the mainframe.  At the same time lowering these costs can cause customers to experience poor response from these same systems.  This presentation will cover the reasons to tune, how to go about it, what data to collect and the collection facilities available.  Finally, this session will cover areas in CICS V5 including understanding how various parameters, design concepts, CICS facilities, affect the performance and resource cost of CICS systems.
