  • This session will demonstrate how integrated tools help the typical IBM z/OS System developer to improve project management, productivity, testing and deployment across the application lifecycle. During this session you will see a live demonstration show casing a typical "day in a life" scenario, featuring:

    • Rational Developer for System z for coding, application transformation, debugging and application deployment
    • Rational Development and Test Environments for System z for building z/OS applications on a shared x86 Linux server
    • Rational Team Concert for workflow, governance, source code management and collaborative development

    Session attendees will walk away with a better working knowledge of IBM Rational Enterprise Modernization solutions and product capabilities, strategies for deploying an affordable and flexible z/OS development environment, and how to build a common team infrastructure for distributed and mainframe development.

    You may also want to attend session 16519: Application Development Tools Hands-on Lab: RDz, RTCz and the RTCz ISPF Client for some direct experience with Rational tool suite on z/OS, Monday at 4:30pm.
