  • In this session IBM will discuss the different networking alternatives for running Oracle RAC databases on Linux on System z.  The alternatives include VSWITCH both in active and passive mode as well as with Link Aggregation.  Additionally, Linux bonding and Oracle's HAIP will be addressed as well.   The results from IBM's testing of these alternatives will be shown also. Lastly, IBM will discuss the support of the  Oracle Database on Red Hat 6 which will demonstrate the commitment IBM and Oracle have to providing a well tested solution for Oracle Database on Linux on System z.
