  • Network Problem Diagnosis with Packet Traces (4.3 MB)
  • Rapid network problem diagnosis at the packet level is critical for optimal service delivery, especially in the new zEnterprise environment. We will review the TCP/IP protocol, demonstrate how to take packet traces in different environments such as z/OS and Linux, and show you how to interpret the data. Sample cases involving OSA, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and AT-TLS will be presented.
