  • A recent Ziff Davis news article made the declaration, as cloud computing becomes all the rage; companies are rediscovering the importance of their data-rich mainframes within the private cloud, that is an integrated CICS & z/OS batch computing environment. This session will help you understand how IAM RLS and IAM PLEX provide concurrent CICS and z/OS batch update for sharing VSAM application data in real-time. Chief Architect Rich Morse, will explain the details of how to best employ the dynamic buffering, Real Time Tuning, insert strategy, indexing structure, data compression and other features of IAM that can transparently improve transaction response and batch job run time, as well as reduce disk storage and CPU resources for banking, credit card, financial, insurance, retail, transportation and other proprietary as well as purchased 3rd party vendor applications.
