Room 103 (Hynes Convention Center)
Speaker: Angie Greenhaw (IBM Corporation)
Handouts
  • Using the IMS TSO SPOC to Manage Your IMS Environment.pdf (11.5 MB)
  • The TSO SPOC is an IBM-supplied application that uses an ISPF panel interface to issue operator commands to systems in an IMSplex. Attend this session to learn how the TSO SPOC facilitates IMSplex management by consolidating control within a single system image. This session will include helpful tips for navigating through the application's panels and will mostly focus on a demonstration of some of the latest IMS type-2 commands that are used to: Display transaction/database attributes and status, Queue/dequeue messages to/from transactions, Update database attributes, Stop/start transactions (see a side-by-side comparison of this using the MTO versus the TSO SPOC), and Dynamically manage MODBLKS resources.
