  • Today, active-active datacenter projects are becoming much more important than ever.  Isbank did a detail long distance test in order to find out the distance that they can handle in new datacenter project for the mainframe. In this session, the speaker will share the step by step project plan, implementation process and how we analized the effect of long distance connections/ from CF and I/O.  If you are interested in long distance PPRC and CF connections for active-active datacenter projects, this session is great for you.  The speaker will share hints and tips of the performance analysis.  Steps include both system programming and performance anaysis items.  You will also learn about the environment, including DWDMs and fiberspool devices to get from 0,5 to 50 km distance. You will hear about hints and tips for defining CF LPARs, CF links, PPRC for long distance test enviroments, inlcuding cascaded FICON director definitions.
