  • Docker is recently developed tooling to make it easier to encapsulate an application in a Linux system container. Docker managed containers provide a means to run multiple applications on a single Linux host while maintaining isolation, performance, and control over each applicaiton. Using Docker will allow the savvy systems programmer to run more applications on fewer Linux instances while maintaining control of the environment.
