  • "Java Specification Request 352:  Batch Applications for the Java Platform" describes a programming model for batch applications and a runtime for scheduling and executing jobs.  In this session we'll talk about the value of Java Batch, and a little about the programming model specified by the JSR.  We'll also talk about what this means to the future of WebSphere Compute Grid, IBM's existing product providing a Java Batch environment and discuss any current news about Compute Grid.
