Biographical Sketch: Gerard Howells has been working in the computing field for over a decade. Although only having recently come to the mainframe world he has a great passion for the platform and is keen to learn more about its history as well as its ongoing place at the core of enterprise technology. Gerard has a background in Linux administration in corporate and academic environments as well as experience in the field of digital forensics. He is originally from England but is considered to sound American by Brits and British by Americans!
