  • System Automation for z/OS: Beginner's Hands-on Lab (2.0 MB)
  • In this exercise you will perform the necessary definitions in a System Automation's policy to make a new application highly available.  You will then build automation configuration files and test your policy definitions.
At the end of the lab, you should be able to use the System Automation for  z/OS Customization Dialog to:

    • Define an application class
    • Define an application, and link it to an application class and an application group
    • Run the build process, to generate the configuration files for the System Automation for z/OS Automation Manager and Automation Agent.
    • Load and test your policy definitions
