Ron Hilton
Proximal Systems

Biographical Sketch:
Ron Hilton, Founder and CEO of Proximal Systems Corporation (PSC), started his mainframe career at Amdahl Corporation in 1980 after graduating from Brigham Young University with a BS degree in Mathematics and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering. His experience at Amdahl included CPU hardware design and system performance architecture. He founded Platform Solutions Inc. (PSI) in 1999 as a spin-off from Amdahl to pursue IBM-compatible mainframe hardware emulation on the Intel architecture. IBM acquired PSI in 2008. Ron founded PSC in 2009 as a logical continuation of his innovative mainframe work to bring the same kind of efficiencies to the software market as Amdahl and PSI had offered in the hardware market; providing full compatibility while extending the capabilities of the mainframe in new directions.
