Biographical Sketch:
Steve started his career as a Customer Support Representative for Legent in 1991 and is currently Director of Software Engineering at CA Technologies. During his career, he has held a broad spectrum of positions as both an individual contributor and as a manager. Through his time at Legent and CA Technologies, Steve has obtained skills across an extensive range of technologies, including distributed and mainframe platforms, programming languages, distributed hardware components and virtualization. Steve is a high energy, hands on individual that enjoys managing projects and getting involved in the nuts and bolts to keep them moving. His cross-platform expertise allows him to easily assimilate information on both mainframe and distributed platforms and his background as both an individual contributor and manager gives him insight into resolving a variety of challenges and removing difficult obstacles. His projects have included updating and expanding network management tools, assisting customers with solution deployment, creation of automation tool kits and virtualization of lab environments. Currently, Steve is driving Agile adoption for multiple engineering and development teams at CA Technologies to enable product scrum teams to deliver enhancements and updates to customers with increased velocity. As a manager, he is focused on assisting the teams in accomplishing their objective and removing obstacles that impede progress. Steve is also a member of several corporate workgroups that are reevaluating processes and procedures to enable CA Technologies to achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
