    • Memory management has evolved thru the years and recent changes have a significant effect on tradeoffs and costs of running an LPAR. SRM algorithms of the past (pre 1.8) are discussed and why the RSM changes altered the tradeoffs associated with allocating memory. New features also have provided opportunities to save CPU (Large Page, Pageable Large Page and 2GB pages). The addition of the zFlash offering presents an opportunity for rethinking the storage configuration of your z/OS LPARs.
