Regional Mainframe User Groups ... Make'em Work ... e.g. COMUG

The mainframe community can be fostered and strengthened by regional user groups like COMUG (Central Ohio Mainframe User Group).  There are a number of regional user groups around the country, struggling to survive and seeking to thrive.  This session will explore the history and workings of COMUG as an example of a user group in Columbus OH that's managed to work for more then a decade.  We will see how COMUG has teamed with other user groups to foster its reach and to enrich its membership.  We invite members of other regional user groups to join us to share challenges and solutions in a concluding roundtable disucssion on how to help regional user groups survive and thrive.
