Humana uses DB2 extensively within the mainframe environment. We have a significant amount of DDF queries as well as DB2 work called by CICS and batch that enter our DB2 mainframe environment.
Code defects that enter through development code releases require a systematic approach so we can provide consistent service to the customer. We have developed a overall application tuning methodology that includes key skills (people with DB2 skills), process (Batch Online Performance Tuning and Problem Management) and DB2 tools (vendor and in-house).
