Biographical Sketch: Iris Baron is a Software Developer for the IBM Java JIT compiler, at the IBM Toronto Software Lab. She joined IBM 10 years ago, after completing her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion and M.Sc. in Computer Science from MIT. Over these years Iris worked extensively on the JIT optimizer and on Java Real Time. In her current role Iris is responsible for the Java JIT development and performance on the Z platform.
