Orange County Salon 2 (Anaheim Marriott Hotel)
Speaker:
Neal Bohling(IBM Corporation)
In this session, the speaker will cover several best practices for those that use VSAM Recording Level Sharing (RLS). These practices start with configuration defaults and recommendations; continue through a few common problems resulting from a poor configuration; and end by discussing how to find optimal configurations for your environment. We’ll discuss buffer and cache sizing, CI size optimizing, direct vs. sequential processing, and the difference between ESDS and KSDS within RLS processing. If you’ve ever wondered about tuning your RLS configuration, this is the session to attend.
