In this session, the speaker will share her experiences related to upgrading from IBM's z10 CECs to IBM zEC12s. The zEC12 has several relevant items geared for performance improvements. The methods that are used to analyze the changes in the performance will be explained in detail, using several performance metrics along with associated RMF and SMF records. How the SMF113 records were used to analyze changes in performance will also be explained. Attendees will have a chance to hear hints and tips that were being used during zEC12 upgrade process as well.
