The Catalog Search Interface (CSI) is IBM's documented interface for programmatically retrieving information from the z/OS catalog. If your program (or REXX exec) needs a filtered list of datasets, or specific information that's maintained in the catalog, the Catalog Search Interface provides a powerful, simple means of getting that data. This session will show how to use the Catalog Search Interface and what it can do, with specific examples in both Assembler and Rexx.
