  • In 2011, IBM made available the first release of GDPS/Active-Active, the latest member of the GDPS family of offerings. GDPS/Active-Active is a paradigm shift from the other GDPS solutions as it is focused at the individual workload level, rather than the entire infrastructure. The solution delivers very low recovery times at any distance and the ability to perform almost instant planned workload moves between sites.

In this session we will examine an overview of the overall concept, plus introduce the latest, recently available enhancements including support for the Active/Query workload configuration and VSAM replication. If you want to know more about GDPS/Active-Active and how this new offering can be for appropriate for you, either today or in the near future, this session will provide you with the answers.

Tracks: IT Services Delivery, Performance/Capacity Planning, Storage and z/OS Systems Programming
