Biographical Sketch: Jaime is an STSM in the Business Analytics (BA) development organization providing strategy, architecture, and technical leadership for all work within BA related to System z. The work includes identifying products in the portfolio that should run on System z and getting them ported and/or optimized to System z; adding new function that satisfy customer requirements; exploiting System z capabilities that provide key differentiation and value to customers; designing, coding and testing some key functions. In addition, Prior to BA, Jaime was a lead architect, designer, etc in the DB2 Replication organization where he also managed the Capture component team. While there he co-lead the project that delivered Q Replication. Further, Jaime is one of four key designers for an Active-Active Continuous Availability solution that leverages Q Replication among other key technologies. Jaime originally joined IBM as part of the DB2 for z/OS organization focused on DB2 Data Sharing where he did a lot of the development of the lock manager, IRLM, a component which he eventually owned. While in DB2 he also worked on the Global DBET component.
