The System z I/O discovery and autoconfiguration (zDAC) function explores your storage fabric, discovers new and changed devices and control units, and adds them to you I/O definition file. In z/OS 2.1, zDAC was changed to support discovery for point to point configurations and support additional autoconfiguration options. This session will describe those changes as well as highlight some important changes made to HCD such as validating the discovered configuration against what is stored in the IODF and providing the ability to check for single point of failure within your configuration. Note: This can include a demo.
