We are all engaged in many forms of interpersonal communications on a regular basis. A good portion of the time our communications are fairly effective. At other times, ‘gaps’ in communication can create misunderstandings, inefficiency, and serious problems. Whether in a work setting or in your personal life, communication 'gaps' can cause a great deal of frustration and stress. In critical situations they can derail your success.
This presentation examines what causes ‘gaps’ in communications and explores ten skills that can help ‘bridge’ those ‘gaps’. Using simple exercises and games, the most common communication obstacles will be identified. Understanding these obstacles and employing the skills covered in this session will help you ‘bridge’ communications gaps more effectively in the future.
