Network Problem Diagnosis with Packet Traces

Rapid network problem diagnosis at the packet level is critical for optimal service delivery, especially in the new zEnterprise environment. We will review the TCP/IP protocol, demonstrate how to take packet traces in different environments such as z/OS and Linux, and show you how to interpret the data. Sample cases involving OSA, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and AT-TLS will be presented.
