Biographical Sketch:
Adam J. O'Donnell, Ph.D., is the Chief Architect of the Cloud Technology Group at Sourcefire where is he responsible for the architecture of Sourcefire's cloud antivirus infrastructure. He joined Sourcefire through its 2010 acquisition of Immunet where he served as the co-founder and director of cloud engineering. Prior to Sourcefire and Immunet, he developed a number of technologies for filtering spam in email and social networks at Cloudmark and held positions at managed security services firms Guardent and The Logan Group. Adam has contributed to and co-authored several books, including the Hacker's Challenge series and Building Open Source Network Security Tools. O’Donnell completed his Ph.D as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Drexel University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and holds an MS and BS in electrical engineering.
