In this session, the speakers will share their experiences with the use of installation-defined static system symbols in z/OS. Mary Anne’s team uses symbols extensively for their software upgrades, and she'll explain all the "whys" and "hows", as well as provide sample definitions. Skip’s team uses symbols for hardware naming and D/R options.
