In this session the speaker will share her expereiences related to using SMF42 dataset I/O performance data. The meaning of key fields, how to use these metrics, in addition to general DASD performance processes will be explained. The relationship with SMF30 data will also be covered. These metrics are worth review on a periodic basis when we want to study detailed DASD performance.
