Biographical Sketch: Akiko Hoshikawa is a Senior Technical Staff Member with the IBM Silicon Valley Lab, where she leads the performance engineers for DB2 for z/OS development. She joined DB2 for z/OS development in 1998 and has worked on performance evaluation of DB2 new releases, numerous customer and vender benchmarks. She is the technical lead for DB2 for z/OS performance and drives performance initiated development in new DB2 release.
