11931: Focus Group: The Mobile Computing Revolution

Wednesday, August 8, 2012: 7:00 AM-7:45 AM
La Jolla (Anaheim Marriott Hotel)
Speaker: John Gibson(IBM Corporation)

The impacts of mobile devices, "bring your own" as well as company provided laptops, PDA's, tablets, smart phones, etc. on our businesses are growing. We now have multiple, often "non-standard" for your organization, devices to manage and secure. Has your company implemented a BYOD (bring your own  device) policy? Are you concerned with how to track, manage and secure the data on non-corporate devices? And how do you support your personal devices and ensure that your work and personal lives are separated?

If so, join us for an interesting and interactive discussion on the issues associated with the mobile computing revolution. We'll have a couple of short presentations to provide background information. But what are the issues that you need to be concerned with? New products?

SHARE is planning on building a Mobile Computing agenda for San Francisco and we want to make sure to cover your concerns. Bring your ideas and  recommendations to this session so we can collect your input and we'll deliver “Mobile Computing” presentations that meet or exceed your expectations  We know this is early, so we'll have coffee waiting.

Tracks: Application Development, Data Center Modernization, Data Center and IT Management, Network Support and Management, Responsibly Architected Application Solutions, Security and Compliance and Software Architecture
