  • Mainline Information Systems has 8 years experience implementing Linux on System z with our customers, from z800 through z196 mainframe. Our customers have installed from 1 to 35 IFLs, with 100's of Virtual Linux guests to support migrated and new applications. This session will discuss the planning, installation and environment experiences during pilots, development and production readiness. We will walk through three (3) customers experiences who implemented PeopleSoft Oracle Databases, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and home grown applications with Oracle Databases on Linux on System z. These installs included new applications and consolidations of the distributed server workloads. The discussions will present the planning aspects, given by Marianne Eggett, Mainline Solutions Consultant and Tom Kennelly, IBM System z Technical Specialist Oracle ERP and Oracle Technologies NA IOT.  Also, We are please Mitsubishi North America's technical representatives will join the discussion and share their experiences.
