Handouts
  • Configuring OpenSSH on z/OS Hands-on Lab (248.1 kB)
  • OpenSSH is a suite of network connectivity tools based on the IETF SSH (Secure Shell) protocol. It's a secure alternative to rlogin, telnet, ftp, rsh and rcp. OpenSSH encrypts all network traffic, provides multiple authentication methods, and can be used to secure other TCP/IP-based applications. This hands-on lab will cover configuring and using the OpenSSH client and server. The session will also cover some of the new features provided by IBM Ported Tools for z/OS: OpenSSH V1R2. Attendees should have some prior knowledge of OpenSSH before attending this lab.
