Introduction to CICS Web Services for the System Programmer

Today more and more customers need to react quickly to changing business requirements.  In doing so they have embraced technologies that run on many different platforms.  The challenge is to allow these platforms to communicate in a standard fashion.  Web services has been widely adopted as the standard for this communication.  This presentation will introduce the support for Web Services in the CICS environment.  It covers an overview of XML and how it relates to traditional data areas.  It will include an overview of Web Services in general and how it relates to CICS.  Finally, the implementation and configuration issues for Web Services in CICS will be discussed
