Analyzing/Measuring/Monitoring Memory Usage and Understanding z/OS Memory Management: Performance View

Understanding memory management is a key to successful performance, and these details are often bypassed. This session is of interest to attendees who want to learn how memory management works in z/OS, and who want to learn about which RMF panels, and RMF/SMF records can be used to monitor its usage and to do performance management based on memory. The Speaker will talk about each RMF monitor III panel and SMF records that can be used to track and monitor memory management including details of 64-bit support. The session will also include memory access related smf113 fields. The Speaker will also provide information about the latest algorithms and parameters on memory management in z/OS. Subsystem level memory usage will a be included from a performance perspective.
