Handouts
  • The zEnterprise Intersection of WLM, RMF, and zManager Performance Management (1.7 MB)
  • The Platform Performance Management component of IBM zEnterprise Unified Resource Manager extends a goal oriented performance management capability to both traditional System z and BladeCenter hardware environments. Also, z/OS WLM now allows you to assign a Service Class based on the goal that was set by PPM, allowing end-to-end goal management for zEnterprise cross-platform transactions. Finally, with z/OS V1.13 and z/OSMF V1.13, RMF is intended to provide new CIM-based performance data gatherers for Linux on System z, Linux on System x, and AIX systems to provide a consistent monitoring solution for zEnterprise ensembles. This session will explain the intersection of these new functions, and help you to understand the leading-edge performance management capabilities of zEnterprise for cross-platform applications.
