  • Analytics, Search, Big Data (7.2 MB)
  • Everybody knows how well IBM Watson performed on Jeopardy, the television game show, but what could it actually do for your company? How can it be applied now in different domains? What kinds of problems can it help solve? Where should you start?  In this session we’ll talk about real "Watson" customer scenarios from various industries using IBM Content Analytics and enterprise search as an entry point and "first phase" solution for Watson-like engagements.

These are solutions such as the following:

    • Discovering insights hidden in millions of survey comments and social media posts.
    • Digging into content middleware to integrate unstructured data with data warehouses and other business systems, integrating with BigInsights and Hadoop
    • Looking for patterns of behavior that indicate criminal activity and identifying areas for further investigation

Tracks: Big Data - Big Analytics - Big Needs, Data Center and IT Management, Responsibly Architected Application Solutions and Software Architecture
