Isracard is Israel's largest credit card company. In October 2009, Isracard went live with its first Linux on z application. Since then we have grown from 1 to 6 IFLs including an ELS.
This session will describe the reasons behind choosing RHEL on z, the challenges and dilemmas we have in implementing RHEL on z and some of the solutions, tools and tricks we used to get where we are.
The journey is not over yet and with the current economic environment and local industry competition , the session will talk about the next steps ahead.
The session is part technical and part managerial.
It is an updated version of sessions given in Seattle(2010) and Anaheim(2011).
Tracks: Data Center and IT Management, Linux Systems Management, The Dark Side of Virtualization and z/VM Systems Programming
