Biographical Sketch: Reinhard Buendgen received a Master of Science degree in computer and information sciences at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE and a Ph.D. degree in computer science at the University of Tuebingen. After working in post doc position at the University of Tuebingen, Reinhard joined IBM in 1997 as a software engineer first working on the Unix System Services Parallel Environment. In 1999 he joined the Linux on System z development team working on High Availability and lead the technical interlock between Linux on System z Development and IBM's Linux Distribution Partners. Today he is architect for RAS and Crypto for Linux on System z.
