Biographical Sketch:
Fred Forst has been using the SAS system for 32 years, first as a statistician and then in MVS tuning and capacity planning area. He has also been the technical lead/architect in a Medical Records application which utilizes very large SAS datasets. He has presented numerous papers on various SAS Performance topics, and estimating Latent Demand at SUGI, IBM Performance Expo, and Computer Measurement Group (CMG) conferences. He holds a BS in Actuarial Science and a MS in Statistics, and was awarded SAS’ “User Feedback Award” in 2005 from SAS Institute. He now works in SAS R&D, focusing on performance topics.
