Implementing Oracle’s StorageTek Cross TapePlex Replication (Or Not)

Cross TapePlex Replication (CTR) brings new options to disaster recovery (DR) with Oracle’s StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager (VSM).  CTR allows a user to transfer data from one TapePlex to one or more other TapePlexes over ESCON, FICON or IP.  This session will start with why a user might want to implement CTR and perhaps some reason why not.  The presentation will then take the audience through the details of setting up a CTR configuration and how it can be used for DR.  Checklists will be provided to help users consider whether or not this is something that will work for them, and if it is, how to set up a configuration.
