See how VIRTEL can fit any legacy (CICS, IMS, Natural, etc) modernization plans whether they call for redeveloping, replacing, rehosting, front-ending or web-enabling the host applications.

In two-tier architecture VIRTEL serves 3270 transactions as web pages with "classic" 3270 screen, full-screen GUI, or mobile-friendly "accordion" presentation over pure IP (no TN3270) connections to thin-client web browsers.   Being thin-client, VIRTEL works automatically with any web-enabled clients including Windows 7, 64-bits, Mac, and mobile devices.  It doesn’t require any middleware, intermediate servers, or application change.  It may eliminate the need for VPN or session manager.

In three-tier architecture, VIRTEL serves host transactions and data as XML-wrapped web services, or any other kind of interactive bidirectional connection between host and server applications.
