We will cover at an introductory level how to utilize Language Environment (LE) High Level Languages (HLLs) -- C, COBOL and PL/I -- with REXX. This is useful both for times when you need to use a High Level Language (or assembler) to get the job done, while at times it is quite helpful to leverage the power of REXX from an HLL (or assembler). We'll talk about avoiding pitfalls in using Language Environment with REXX, and look at passing arguments and sharing variables between them. Note that this is neither a tutorial on HLLs or REXX, attendees should have some LE and REXX programming experience.
This is a superset of the information presented at SHARE 115 in Boston, including new material related to Language Environment HLLs (High-Level Languages) not previously presented.
