"How to Train your Dinosaur” Athene and zOS Performance Management

In the era of concentration on virtualization and distributed technologies, performance management on zOS is as critical as ever.  Many enterprises business critical applications still run on zOS “The Dinosaur”.  Athene provides organizations with a critical view of their complete environment, including zOS.  Athene is poised to assist those organizations in Performance and Capacity Management activities, without tremendous amounts of time spent by technicians coding reports.  This session will show you sample reports, tips and techniques for performance management to “Train” the environment to continue satisfying those business critical applications. 
 The speaker Name and Bio: Charles Johnson– Charles Johnson has been in the Information Technology industry for over 30 years.  This has included working at a number of Fortune 500 organizations in different business sectors, including insurance, financial and automotive.  Charles has been involved in Performance and Capacity for zOS for the majority of his career, both as a technician and manager.  Charles is currently a Principal Consultant with Metron-Athene, Inc., a worldwide software organization specializing in Performance and Capacity Management.
