Session abstract: When someone complains about CICS performance where do you look? Where do you turn first? This session includes presentation of the essentials of RMF and CICS monitoring for performance management and capacity planning. We will present: (a) considerations for performance data collection and discussion of the most important metrics from the collected statistics, (b) samples of the recommended set of reports required to support a particular performance analysis activity, (c) CICS performance analysis tips and "tricks," and (d) specific recommendations based on over 100 performance optimization projects.
