Biographical Sketch: Zamir Gonzalez has just joined the ranks of the East IMT zITA organization, working hard to further develop zPlatform sales and revenue in the Carolina's. She spent the last four and a half years with the zOS Tools and New Technology Deployment team out of STG. One of her primary responsibilities in this role has been to help simplify, consolidate and modernize the zOS Development Toolset across various geographies, disciplines, components and functional organizations. At the core of this effort has been finding correct positioning of various Rational tools for the zOS lab as well as working with teams to drive adoption and education of tooling as well as working with members of Rational Development to help make their products "enterprise" and "z" ready. Another large effort for this year has centered around creating a prototype of a STG System z Cloud that would host various of the Rational/Jazz based tools now in use by STG (RTC, RQM, CC) and CQ. This project was a joint effort with Marist College and intended to also serve as a model for Marist, a key player in the Academic Initiative, to become into a Rational z Hub offering to host other Universities with students interested in Enterprise computing. Zamir is a member of ECC and has worked closely with the Academic initiative since her graduation from Marist College in 2004 with a Bachelors in Information Technology and Minors in Information Systems and Communications. Zamir also recently completed her Masters in Computer Science, software development at Marist College in May 2009. Other initiatives in the academic space have including assisting Marist faculty to get familiar with RDz and Cognos. This year Zamir also achieved her first invention plateau and also holds several publications in addition to her patents.
